Late Wedding Bookings at Murthly Castle

We still have limited availability for weddings at Murthly Castle in 2018. The Castle, the Chapel, and the Walled Garden can all be used for wedding ceremonies and receptions, whether religious, humanist or civil. With magnificent trees all along the entrance drive, the setting is hard to beat.

American Friends of the Georgian Group

We were delighted to have a visit from the American Friends of the Georgian Group in October. The group enjoyed a lunch in the castle, followed by a private tour given by the Laird and his wife.

Fishing on the River Tay

The five-year average total for the Murthly Beats (2012-16) is 548 salmon and 42 sea trout. Book your rod for 2018 now to enjoy some great fishing and even greater surroundings.

Music Festivals

We are looking forward to the Niel Gow Fiddle Festival 2018, especially as the Perthshire Amber Festival did not take place this year. If you'd like to put on your own musical event here, please just get in touch.

Green Power

The Estate is looking actively as renewable energy opportunities, and is currently investing in both biomass heating and solar power at present.
